In addition to these super sweet repros, I also got some Lizzy and Tula, and a stencil set thing so I can improve my FMQ a little bit. I also got my first skeins of "fancy" yarn! (Aka not from Joann's/Michaels/AC Moore) I think these will become some really sweet Christmas-y socks!
I didn't actually take any photos of the actual show quilts, because I was distracted by another purchase, which is getting it's own post next week!
In the meantime, I'll tease you with the promise of a new quilt in the next couple of weeks. I'm turning these 30's prints into a quilt for my BFF's new baby. Who will probably be walking by the time it's finished. But at least I am SO much more inspired with this than the quilt I was working on for her before!
nice selection of fabrics and the wool is very colourful, Wondering what the stencil thing is you bought
ReplyDeleteGreat selection! Love seeing them in a colour wheel like that!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are a teaser, Megan! Those prints are very sweet and will make a lovely baby quilt. Can't wait to see it! And looking forward to your post about the 'other purchase'!
ReplyDeleteThat will be a beautiful baby quilt, so bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteI, too, attended the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. What I found that I loved is the new line by Pepper Cory called "Pepper Cotton". It is like a shot cotton but has a better hand. Pepper told us there would be additional colors available at the Spring Quilt Market. I like the big shows because you see a little bit of everything. I think your 'baby quilt' will be darling.
ReplyDeleteLove the orange prints in that line - perfect for a toddler quilt:-)
ReplyDeleteOh those are wonderful! What's old is new again! I especially like that green and cream lattice one. Work that stash!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up your Sunday Stash with me this week! I'm don't usually go all gaga over retro prints but I'm loving your stash!! <3 So cheerful!
