I'm making some progress on my Acacia quilt! I've decided to piece it in quadrants, to make it a little easier, and I'm about halfway done.
I'm using my little row markers to keep everything straight.
I've also expanded my 9 patch piecing method - it's working out great!
I'll let you guys know when this top is done, I'm stoked about this being my "fall" couch quilt!
Wow! Looking sensational! I've just ordered a fq of Acacia in the berry range - can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLooks very pretty on the wall - I love the colors and the neutral ground. Looks like linen, is it?
ReplyDeleteIts the new Kona Silver - my new favorite gray!
DeleteThat's going to be beautiful! What a lot of HSTs.
ReplyDeleteThis is looking so fabulous! Charm packs? How many did you use? I never quite know what to do with a charm pack, this is so inventive!
ReplyDeleteI used three, and I've got a few squares left over. They might end up in the back, or I might hoard them as "special" scraps :-)
Deletegorgeous!! I can't wait to see the finished product :)
ReplyDeleteLovely! This should be fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLooking just lovely!!
ReplyDeleteWhat you refer to as your "9-patch piecing method"? Sometimes at in-store retreats, people see me sew quilts together like that and it totally blows their mind! It's quite effiecent, IMHO - until you screw up. ;-) What did you decide about borders?
ReplyDeleteI did a blog post about it a while ago, there should be a link there. I just use lots of chain piecing, and don't trim the pieces apart. I decided on no border, but came up with something super fun. I'm hoping to have the top done soon, so I'll bring it by to show you!
DeleteI haven't screwed it up toooo badly yet... but it's inevitable... :-p
Deletethis is coming along a treat
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderfully happy quilt!!! Thanks for sharing all of your process....I am inspired!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it will be a very colourful quilt. I love what I see on your design wall!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is going to be amazing. I cannot wait to see it once you've finished it. Makes me want to order some Acacia right now!!
