I finished binding my xplusalong, Sunshine Daydream! I'm so psyched about this quilt, it's so bright and sunshiny, just in time for spring!
I bound it in Kona Azure, which is a nice contrast, and as the only solid in the quilt, it gives your eyes a rest as well. The backing is an old sheet - my favorite sheet set that I can't use anymore since I went from a double to queen bed when I bought the house. So now I get to have it in a quilt forever. Booyah.
Turned out great. Nice and sunny. I like the sheet on the back, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful - such lovely summery colours. And it's great that you get to keep your fave sheet :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I kept it! I have a hard time getting rid of ANY fabric! :-)
DeleteBeautiful quilt! I just love the sunny colors!

First time visiting (from Finish it Friday at crazymomquilts). Love your sunshine quilt. What a "sunny" palette and the Kona Azure (which is my second favorite Kona solids -Indigo being my favorite) is such a great accent to the summery pinks, yellows and greens. I definitely will be following your blog to see what other great "sunny" or not projects you post about.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming by! I love Azure too, I bought some yardage of it because I seem to use it a lot ;-)
DeleteThis is so cute!
